Jian-Bo Fu of China takes the $50,000 winner takes-all 'Champion of Champions'

Jian-Bo Fu has won the 'Champion of Champions' tournament held at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Conneticut. Fu from Beijing, China defeated Dennis Orcollo 5-1 and 5-2 in the final of the winner takes all tournament.

“I am very happy to win this honor for China,” commented Fu through his interpreter. “The pressure in the tournament is very hard,” said Fu, Jian-Bo Fu

“No error is allowed when every player is a champion. The $50,000 is important, but the most wonderful thing is to return home as the Champion of Champions.”

Fu's opponents included Niels Feijen in the semi-final, the previous years winner of this event winning both sets 5-2. The quarterfinals before that were against Shane Van Boening and were split a set a piece 5-1 and 5-1 before playing an intense single rack decider that Fu went on to take.

Fu received a standing ovation from the crowd as he collected the full event purse of $50,000 in this winner takes all event, the eighteenth to be held and the tenth at the Mohegan Sun Casino.
